Our History

Tradewinds Waterfront Bar and Grill located at the historical Bayside Marketplace, opened for business in November 2007. Tradewinds has been a part of Bayside Marketplace for eight years, but the owners have called it home for over sixty-five years. The owners also manage and operate Island Queen Cruises the business behind the famous Millionaire’s Row Cruise. This tour has been enjoyed by locals and visitors for decades. Island Queen Cruises is known as a staple of Miami and the owners wanted to provide an enhancement to the overall experience for their passengers by offering a unique Miami dining experience.

Since Bayside Marketplace was known as Pier 5, the family and friends owned restaurant has kept its historical roots by using the same name of a previous restaurant that inhabited Pier 5, also known as Tradewinds Restaurant. Today, Tradewinds has continued the tradition as being a restaurant specializing in seafood while also having a wide variety of other entrees for guests to choose from.

Unlike most of the restaurants at Bayside, Tradewinds was converted from a walkway and small shop into a fully operational establishment servicing hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. Tradewinds Waterfront Bar and Grill strives to provide its guests with a unique experience which is sought out when residing or visiting Miami.
